It's powered by an 18-volt lithium-ion battery with Bosch-exclusive Electronic Cell Protection technology, which provides a five-times-longer cycle life than competitive lithium-ion batteries by monitoring output levels to prevent overheating. This kit comes with two Fat Pack battery for longer runtime and saw blades to get you started right out of the box.

Portable Cutting Power

At 8.25 pounds, including the Fat Pack battery, this lightweight band saw is extremely portable, making it an ideal tool for use in overhead applications like electrical work. And the 18-volt lithium-ion battery helps prevent overheating in tough applications and protects motor from overload damage. Despite its compact size, the rugged aluminum base is durable enough to withstand tough jobsite conditions.

The band saw is designed with the battery pack above the handle, giving you an ergonomic and balanced feel on both sides. The BSH180 accommodates most common size materials cut by core trade users up to 2-1/2 inches on a single pass. It also includes an integrated LED work light that illuminates your cut line in dark areas.

Flexible Power System

Like all tools in Bosch's 18-volt line, this band saw can be used with either a 1.3 Ah Slim Pack battery (model BAT609), a 1.5 Ah Slim Pack HC (model BAT610G), or a 2.6 Ah Fat Pack battery (model BAT618). If you're looking for a lightweight option, the Slim Pack batteries are the perfect choice. If longer runtime is what you need, the Fat Pack will do the job.
