I bought this bandsaw about 5 months ago and I have used it consistantly during this time. I am not a professional and the bandsaw gets used as a hobby, so it is not in use every day or even several hours per day.
The saw was fairly easy to put together. My wife and I put it together in a little over two hours and that includes building the stand. It does not include unpacking the thing.
The base is substantial, and so is the saw itself. Once turned on it runs smoothly and the adjustments are straight forward. The blade supplied with the saw is substandard. Buy the after market blades. I bought Olson.
So if everything is so good why only one star? The one star is because the machine is so underpowered that I cannot re-saw a 4 X 4 cedar post, and that is with the Olson blade.
