This review is from: Milwaukee 6230N Deep Cut Band Saw (Tools & Home Improvement) I bought this saw because I mistakenly thought that the tool was made in the US. It's not. It's not even made in Taiwan. It's made in China. I hate using tools made overseas and think it is vital, as a tool user, to support my neighbors and my economy by buying american made products. I care much more that my neighbors have work than I care about whether some CEO and his gophers make their bonuses. Quite frankly, I'm saddened and disgusted. I can't speak to quality yet--my US made Milwaukee tools lasted indefinitely. It remains to be seen whether Milwaukee, in this move to cut USA labor costs, can keep up quality. If Milwaukee has followed in Dewalt's footsteps, the answer will be no, and I've just wasted my money on another piece of disposable cr**. |
