I purchased this saw blade from Amazon for the purpose of resawing wood. I often need pieces of wood 1/4" thick and am tired of planing 3/4" pieces down to 1/4" knowing that two thirds of what you just planed off (and of what you paid for) are going in the garbage. Using this blade for resawing helps to maximize the wood you have in your shop. The blade works well except that I was expecting a little smoother surface of the wood sawn. However, that may have just been an incorrect feed rate on my part. Especially since the saw is new and I was still getting use to it.
One lesson that I learned the hard way when installing a new blade is how to properly "unfold" it from a coiled position. Neither the bandsaws owners manual or any of the bandsaw books tell you how to do this. They only tell you how to recoil it after removing it from the saw.
