Reduce splintering and tear-out, and keep small drop-offs from falling between the blade and wheels. These semi-rigid, plastic inserts snap in to replace your old, beat-up throat plate. Ideal for scrollwork, small or fragile parts, and woods prone to splintering, these inserts provide a solid base for your workpiece at very little cost. Will not dull your saw teeth. Sold in sets of 5.

Jet inserts are 2-1/2" (OAD) x 1-3/4" (to lip).

got these to go with my 18" Jet Bandsaw and they fit great. One thing, just as the original one did, they sit just shy of flush so when you are cutting, sometimes the wood catches on the lip and you sort of have to lift up on it to push it through. other than that its a good product. Ill try shimming it up with stick on sandpaper. lol
