This is a much better blade than the 3/4-Inch-by-105-Inch AccuRight Bandsaw Blade. I recently acquired some 12" thick Cypress timber that I wanted to resaw so I purchased the riser block kit for my Grizzly G0555 and the AccuRight blade. It took me almost an hour to cut through the 12" by 2' long beams. I almost gave up but I saw an article in Wood magazine that mentioned the Timber Wolf blade. It's a little expensive but it cut through the Cypress beams in second rather than a hour. Well worth the price. 5 of 6 people found the following review helpful: Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Timber Wolf Bandsaw Blade 3/4" x 105", 3 TPI (Misc.) I bought this blade when I increased the cutting height on my bandsaw with a riser kit. I use the blade for getting whole logs cut down for lathe turning. It has to cut through bark, debris and the like and it cuts great. The blade has instructions on setting the proper tension and lubrication; kitchen PAM spray. It makes the cutting go faster. I spent the better part of a day cutting tough mesquite logs into bowl stock and it cut very well all day. 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful: By Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Timber Wolf Bandsaw Blade 3/4" x 105", 3 TPI (Misc.) I started out using a stock saw blade on a 14' bandsaw. I was having a hard time re-sawing and was basically about to give up on using a bandsaw. I read about how blades make a big difference. I bought this Timberwolf saw blade and it was literally like a hot knife thru butter. The blade cut quickly and easily and did not walk over to the side. Excellent saw blade. I now LOVE using the bandsaw and I am amazed at what difference a blade can make! |
